Eiffel Tower Craft for Kids
Materials:
- Eiffel Tower 3D Craft printable (available for download below)
- Cardstock paper
- Scissors
- Glue (recommended: Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Glue or rubber cement)
- Paint
- Paintbrush
- Colored pencils/crayons (optional)
Instructions:
To start, print out the Eiffel Tower 3D Craft printable (available for download below). Be sure to print it on cardstock paper so that it’s strong enough to stand up when it’s completed.
If you’re coloring your Eiffel Tower with crayons or colored pencil, now is the time to do that. If you’re painting, it’s better to wait until it’s assembled so that the folding doesn’t peel the paint.
Next, cut out the outline of the Eiffel Towers. For a more finished look, cut out the small window in the middle of each tower as well. This isn’t required, but it is a nice effect in the final product.
Fold along the dotted lines, valley fold on the grey dotted lines, and mountain fold on the black dotted lines. The paper will fold like an accordion, each edge lining up with the next dotted line.
Next, glue each fold of the tower firmly together. I recommend using either craft glue, like Elmer’s Glue-All, or Rubber Cement for this so that the pages seal together securely.
Cut out the extra white pieces along the perimeter of the tower.
Finally, paint the tower in the colors of your choosing!
We went with red, white, and blue in honor of the French flag, but you can also go with the more traditional brown.
My son was quite tickled with the idea of having his very own Eiffel Tower! And he loved that it could stand up on its own.
