Not only does this reindeer handprint craft turn out absolutely adorable, it’s also really easy to make!
All you need is the free reindeer printable (available for download below), red tissue paper to make a glowing nose, and some brown paper to add in the handprint antlers.
This is a great craft for young kids to get involved in, from coloring the reindeer to gluing on the tissue paper nose to cutting out their traced handprint.
Kids will be so satisfied when they complete their craft and see how all of their hard work has turned out. This is a great project to do with a toddler, preschooler, or elementary school child.
Reindeer Handprint Craft
Materials
- Reindeer printable (download for free below)
- Colored pencils/markers
- Red tissue paper
- Brown paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Googly eyes (*optional- you can use the paper ones included in the printable)
Instructions
Download and print out the reindeer template. You can find the free template available for download at the bottom of this post.
Color the face and ears of the reindeer using brown colored pencils or markers.
Cut pieces of red tissue paper into 1×1 inch squares.
Cover the nose of the reindeer with glue and stick pieces of crumpled red tissue paper to it until the nose is filled in.
Glue the googly eyes onto the reindeer’s face. You can also choose to use the paper eyes that are included with the printable instead.
Trace your child’s hands on brown paper and cut out the handprints.
Glue the handprints onto the back of the reindeer’s head.
Now your reindeer is complete and ready to enjoy!
