Cute and Easy Cactus Craft for Kids

This cute and easy cactus craft is perfect for young kids! And it’s made with common materials that you likely already have on hand.

Cactus craft materials

Materials

  • Cactus craft printable (download at bottom of page)
  • Tissue paper (green and pink)
  • Colored paper (light blue and tan or brown)
  • Glue
  • Scissors

Instructions

First, download and print the cactus printable, available below.

Next, take the tan paper and cut a two to three inch strip from the bottom with a wavy edge. This will be your sandy ground underneath the cactus.

Cut out the cactus from the cactus printable.

Place the tan printable at the bottom of the blue piece of paper. Take the cactus printable and tuck the bottom of the cactus under the top edge of the tan paper.

Cut 2 by 2 inch strips of green and pink tissue paper. Apply glue to a small part of the cactus. Crinkle up pieces of green tissue paper and begin sticking them to the glue. Work your way across the cactus, first gluing and the adding tissue paper until the whole cactus is covered.

Crinkle up three pieces of pink tissue paper and glue one to the top of each segment of the cactus. Now the cactus is complete and ready to enjoy!

This is seriously such a fun and easy activity, and one that kids will be proud to display when it’s finished.
