If you’re looking for a fun and easy holiday craft to do with your young child, this Christmas handprint art is for you! This craft is so simple to make and turns out absolutely adorable when completed.
The set comes with eight printable templates that you can complete with your child’s handprint.
This is a perfect craft to do with babies, toddlers, or preschoolers. It makes a wonderful keepsake or a personalized gift for friends or family.
In this bundle you will find templates for a handprint Santa, a Christmas tree, a reindeer, Christmas lights, Christmas bells, a Christmas wreath, and a two Christmas elves.
Christmas handprint art for kids
In order to make the craft, first download and print out the Christmas handprint art templates.
Once you have your template, paint your child’s hand with paint of the appropriate color, depending on the printable.
A few notes: For the elves and Santa printables, paint the entire hand except for the ring finger so that you don’t end up with an extra leg on your person. For the “merry and bright” printable use a thumbprint for the light bulbs.
Carefully and firmly press your child’s hand down on the printable to complete the image. For younger kids be sure to guide the child’s hand so that it ends upon the right spot on the printable.
Let the paint dry and enjoy!
My kids absolutely loved doing this craft and kept asking for more and more printables to complete. And the finished product really did look so adorable!
