  • Paint (red, orange, yellow)
  • Brown marker or colored pencil
  • Bubble wrap
  • Scissors

Instructions

First, download our free tree template (you can find it at the bottom of this page and print it on white paper. This will be the base for your autumn leaves artwork.

Use a brown marker or colored pencil to color in the trunk of the tree.

Next, cut a piece of bubble wrap about the size of a child’s hand.

Squeeze a small amount of each fall-colored paint onto separate sections of your paper plate or palette and spread it into a thin layer to make it easier for dipping the bubble wrap.

Dip the bubble wrap into one of the paint colors. Gently press the painted side of the bubble wrap onto the branches of the tree template to create the leaves.

Repeat this process with different colors, layering them to create a vibrant and varied look. Feel free to overlap colors to mimic the natural blending of autumn leaves.

Don’t worry about going outside of the lines because you will be cutting the tree out anyway.
