Wolf Tissue Paper Craft

Whether you are studying woodland animals or just love these majestic forest creatures, this tissue paper wolf craft is a fantastic way to bring a little bit of the wild indoors!

Designed to be simple enough for preschoolers yet engaging for elementary students, this project uses a free printable template to help guide little hands.

By crinkling up small squares of tissue paper and gluing them down, kids create a wonderful 3D textured fur effect that makes their wolf look extra cozy and “fluffy.”

It’s a brilliant way to build fine motor skills and sensory awareness while creating a masterpiece that is more “cute” than “big bad!”

Wolf Tissue Paper Craft

Materials

  • Wolf craft template (available for download at the bottom of this page)
  • Tissue paper (white, grey, brown, etc)
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Instructions

First, download and print out the free wolf tissue paper craft template located at the bottom of this page.

Next, cut pieces of tissue paper into small pieces (approximately 1″x1″) in the colors of your choice (we chose grey and white).

**Note that if you would like a version that involves less cutting, choose the second two pages of the PDF. The first page has just the wolf body, so you can apply the tissue paper to the wolf on the page without cutting out the wolf’s body and then use the additional pieces on the second page for the eyes, nose, etc.

Now take begin covering sections of the wolf’s body in glue and then crinkle up pieces of the grey tissue paper and stick them to the glue. Continue until the whole body is covered in tissue paper.

Now do the same with the face and chest part, but with white tissue paper.

Cut out all of the pieces of the template.

Glue the face and chest piece to the wolf’s body.

Next, glue the eyes and nose to the wolf’s face.

Finally, use a black marker to draw a mouth on your wolf.

And now your sweet wolf craft is complete!

This craft is a perfect activity for kids learning about woodland animals or if they just want to make an adorable furry friend!
