Pizza Paper Plate Craft

Materials
- Pizza craft template (available for download below)
- Paper plate
- Brown and red paint
- Colored pencils or markers
- Tissue paper (white or yellow)
- Scissors
- Glue
Instructions
First, download and print out the free pizza craft template, which you can find at the bottom of this page.
Grab your paper plate and paint the middle of the plate red and the outside of the plate brown.

While the paint is drying, take some time to color your desired toppings.

Once you’re done coloring them, cut out all of the toppings that you want to use.
Cut up pieces of yellow or white tissue paper into small squares. Working in small sections, cover part of the red center of the plate in glue, crinkle tissue paper, and stick the tissue paper to the glue.

Continue until the center is covered in tissue paper, leaving a red rim around the outside. Don’t worry if you miss a few spots, it will just give you glimpses of the “pasta sauce” underneath!

Now it’s time to glue your desired toppings onto your pizza!

And just like that you have a completed pizza that looks so good you could almost eat it!
If you want to go with a more traditional pizza, you can use white tissue paper to make little mounds of mozzarella and then decorate your pizza with tomato and basil.

This paper plate pizza is a perfect way for young creators to mix art with their favorite food while exploring different textures and colors.
It is a fantastic, low-stress project that builds fine motor skills and leaves every child with a personalized “masterpiece” they will be proud to display.
