Instructions

Start out by cutting out brown tissue paper in 2×2 squares.

Also cut out a circle of red tissue paper for the nose, two small circles of black construction paper for the center of the eyes, and two slightly larger pieces of white tissue paper for the outer part of the eyes.

Glue the black circles onto the white circle to make the eyes.

Decide where you want to place the eyes and nose and cover the inside of the cup with Mod Podge in that place.

Carefully stick the eyes and nose where you want them on the inside of the cup. Remember that the eyes and nose should be upright when the cup is upside down.

Continue to coat the bottom and sides of the cup with Mod Podge. Place pieces of brown tissue paper on the inside of the cup so that the overlap slightly with no gaps. Use the brush to grab the tissue paper and push it into place.

Work your way up the cup, first coating with Mod Podge and then adding the tissue paper. You can cover right over the top of the eyes and nose.

When you reach the top of the cup, choose pieces with a flat edge to make a clean line around the edge of the cup.

Bend your pipe cleaner in half and then make more bends on each side to make it look like reindeer antlers.

Place a generous dot of Mod Podge in the center of the bottom of the cup. Stick the middle of the pipe cleaner antlers to the dot of Mod Podge.

Place a pen or pencil (a thicker, heavier pen works best) over the middle of the pipe cleaner to hold in in place and allow it to dry for a couple of hours.

Once the cup and antlers are dry, place an electric candle (never a real one!) inside.

If you place the candle on it’s side facing forwards it gives the best effect because it shines directly through the nose and makes it look like Rudolph’s nose is really glowing.

Now you’re ready to enjoy your Rudolph craft for kids.
