Winter Tree Tissue Paper Craft

Materials

  • Winter tree template (download below)
  • White tissue paper
  • Colored pens (red, orange, and black)
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Blue and white paper

Instructions

First, download and print off the winter tree printable template, which you can find by scrolling to the bottom of this page.

Next, it’s time to color in the cardinals. Use a black pen to color in the cardinals’ faces, an orange pen to color their beaks, and a red pen to color in their bodies.

Now cut out the cardinals and the outline of the tree.

Trace the outline of the tree onto brown paper and cut it out.

Now take a white piece of paper and cut a wavy piece off of the bottom (about 3″). Glue the white piece to the bottom of a blue piece of paper. This will be the snowy ground under your tree.

Next glue the brown tree to the page with the top of the tree on the glue part of the page and the bottom of the white strip.

Now it’s time to add some snow to your tree! Cut up white tissue paper into spall pieces, roughly 1″x1″.

Lightly crinkle the tissue paper and glue it onto the tree branches.

Take your cardinals and glue them to the branches as well.

You can now leave your winter scene the way it is, or you can crinkle up small pieces of tissue paper and glue them to the page to be snowflakes falling from the sky.

And now your winter tree is finished and ready to display!

This is such an easy winter craft to make at home or at school. Kids will love sharing their fun winter art project!
