“You’re Turtley Awesome!” Turtle Card Craft

If you’re looking for a way to show someone you care, this adorable turtle card craft is for you!

This easy craft is a great way to let someone special know that they are “turtley awesome”! It’s simple to make using the free template and materials you likely already have on hand.

A perfect personalized gift for Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, or a birthday that couldn’t be easier to make!

Turtle Card Craft

Materials

• Turtle card craft template
• Colored paper
• Scissors
• Glue

Instructions

To start, download and print off the turtle card craft template, which you can find at the bottom of this page.

Next, cut out all of the pieces of the template.

Now you’re going to trace the pieces of the template onto colored paper. You can use any colors that you like, but we chose to trace the head, feet, and tail onto light green paper and the round shell onto dark green paper.

Cut out the traced pieces.

Fold the round shell in half. To make the textured pattern on the shell, tear small pieces of light green paper and glue them to the shell, leaving a small gap in between the pieces.

Continue until the whole shell is covered in small pieces of paper.

Glue the turtle’s eye onto the head, then glue the base of the head onto the back of the shell.

Now attach the feet to the back of the shell on the bottom and attach the tail to the back of the shell opposite from the head.

Use a pen to draw a mouth on your turtle.

Open up your card…

and glue the “You’re turtlely awesome!” saying to the inside of your card.

Now all that’s left is to write a personalized message inside your card and gift it!
