Squirrel Tissue Paper Craft for Kids

I’m thrilled to introduce our latest project: a delightful tissue paper squirrel craft that’s perfect for kids of all ages.

This fun and easy activity combines the charm of cute squirrels with the tactile joy of working with tissue paper.

Using our free template, your little ones can create a colorful and textured squirrel that’s perfect for fall or any woodland-themed crafting session.

Squirrel Craft

Materials

• Squirrel craft template (available for download below)
• Tissue paper (brown or grey)
• Scissors
• Glue

Introduction

First, download and print off the squirrel craft template, which you can find at the bottom of the page.

Color the body of the squirrel with brown or grey colored pencils or markers, depending on what kind of squirrel you want to make.

Next, cut up grey or brown tissue paper into small pieces (around 1″x1″ size).

Cover the squirrel’s tail in glue, lightly crinkle up tissue paper, and stick the tissue paper to the tail. Continue until the entire tail is covered in tissue paper.

Grab your scissors and cut out the squirrel.

Now it’s time to make the squirrel’s acorn! Color the bottom of the acorn tan and the top brown. Use a brown colored pencil to draw a crisscross pattern on the top part of the acorn. When you’re done, cut out the acorn.

Glue the acorn to the squirrel’s paw to look like the squirrel is holding it.

Now your cute little squirrel is complete!
