Easy Penguin Heart Craft

As we get ready for Valentine’s Day, I’m always on the hunt for projects that are low-prep but high on the “aww” factor, and this penguin heart craft is exactly that!
Using our free printable template and basic supplies, preschool and elementary kids can build their very own winter friend with heart shaped nose, wings, and feet.

Whether you’re looking for a sweet Valentine craft or just a cozy winter afternoon activity, this heart-themed penguin is sure to melt your heart!

Penguin Heart Craft

Materials

  • Penguin heart craft template (available for download below)
  • Colored paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Instructions

First, download and print out the penguin heart craft template, which you can find at the bottom of this page.

Next, cut out all of the pieces of the template.

Now it’s time to trace the pieces of the template onto colored paper. You can get creative here and use whatever colors you want to for your penguin!

Trace the penguin’s stomach and wings onto one color of paper.

Then trace the feet and nose onto anther color of paper.

Now cut out the pieces that you have traced.

Now you’re ready to assemble your penguin!

Glue the penguin’s stomach to the penguins body, then glue the nose the penguins face.

Now glue the penguin’s feet the bottom of the penguin and glue a wing on each side.

Now your adorable penguin craft is complete!

  1. Download and print out the penguin heart craft template.
  2. Cut out the pieces of the template.
  3. Now trace the pieces of the template onto colored paper of your choice. Trace the body and wings on one color and the nose and feet on another color. Cut them out.
  4. Glue the penguin's stomach onto the body, then glue the nose onto the penguin's face.
  5. Glue the feet to the bottom of the penguin's body and the a wing on each side of the penguin's body.
