  • Colored paper (yellow, tan, black, pink)
  • Aluminum foil (optional)
  • Brown colored pencil
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Instructions

First, download and print out the free pencil craft template, which you can find at the bottom of this page.’

Next, cut out all the pieces of the template.

Trace all the parts of the pencil onto colored paper : trace the body of the pencil onto yellow paper, trace the eraser on pink paper, trace the pencil tip on tan paper, trace the lead and metal band (unless you’re using aluminum foil for the band) onto black paper. Cut everything out.

If want to use an aluminum band, trace the metal band template onto aluminum foil and cut it out.

Now it’s time to assemble the pencil!

Glue the pink eraser onto the back of the yellow body of the pencil then glue the metal band onto the flat part of the eraser.

Next, glue the tan tip onto the pencil, then glue the black lead onto the tip.

Use a straightedge (I used the pencil template) to draw lines horizontally across the yellow part of the pencil with a brown colored pencil.

Glue the eyes and mouth onto the pencil.

Finally, use a black pen to draw some eyebrows on your pencil.

Now your adorable little pencil craft is complete!
