Materials for the pencil teacher appreciation card

Materials

  • Pencil card template (available for download below)
  • Colored paper (yellow, tan, pink, and black)
  • Aluminum foil (optional)
  • Glue
  • Scissors

Instructions

Start off by downloading and printing out the free pencil card template (you can download the template at the bottom of this page).

Next, cut out the pieces of the pencil from the template.

Trace the pencil onto yellow paper, the eraser onto pink paper, the pencil tip onto tan paper, and the lead onto black paper. For the metal band you can trace it onto black or grey paper or use aluminum foil to make it look more like metal.

Cut out all the traced pieces.

Glue the pencil tip and the eraser onto the pencil.

Next glue the pencil tip and metal band onto the pencil.

At this point you can add lines down the pencil to make the sides of the pencil if desired.

Now you’re ready to write a special teacher appreciation note in the card!
