Materials

  • Hedgehog craft template (available for download below)
  • Brown tissue paper
  • Tan/light brown marker or colored pencil
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Instructions

First things first, download and print out our free hedgehog craft template—just grab it from the bottom of this page.

Next, color in the hedgehog’s body using a tan or light brown marker or colored pencil. This will be the base of your adorable hedgehog.

Now, cut the brown tissue paper into small pieces (you can also use a different color of tissue paper if you want brightly colored quills). These will be the quills for your hedgehog, giving it that spiky, textured look.

Let’s start decorating! Work in small sections: apply glue to a part of the hedgehog’s back, lightly crinkle up some tissue paper, and stick it onto the glue.

Keep going until the entire quill section of the hedgehog is covered with tissue paper, giving it that lovely textured feel.

Once you’ve finished, cut out the hedgehog from the template.

And there you have it—your charming tissue paper hedgehog is complete! Enjoy your cute new creation!
