Giraffe Craft for Kids

Giraffe Craft

Materials

  • Giraffe craft template (available for download below)
  • Colored paper (yellow, brown, black)
  • Brown paint
  • Q-tips
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Instructions

First, download and print out the free giraffe craft template at the bottom of this page.

Cut out all the template pieces.

Trace the giraffe’s body, head, outer ears, and the base of the ossicones (those little horns) onto yellow paper, then cut them out.

Trace the mouth, inner ears, and the tops of the ossicones onto brown paper, and cut them out as well.

Trace the hooves on black paper and cut those out too.

Now comes the fun part! Dip a Q-tip in brown paint and dab it onto the giraffe’s body and head to create spots.

Once the paint is dry, glue the top parts of the ossicones to the bottom parts, the inner ears to the outer ears, and the mouth onto the giraffe’s head.

Attach the ears and ossicones to the head, and glue the hooves onto the feet.

Use a black marker to draw the mouth and nostrils, then glue on the eyes. Finally, attach the head to the body, and your giraffe is complete!
