  • Colored paper
  • Colorful paint
  • Bubble wrap
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Instructions

To start, download and print the free mermaid craft template at the bottom of this page.

Cut out all the pieces from the template.

Trace the hair onto colored paper and cut it out. You can go for classic hair colors like brown, yellow, or black, or have fun with vibrant shades like pink or green!

Trace the mermaid’s head and body onto skin-colored paper, then cut them out.

Trace the shirt and tail onto colored paper. Make sure to leave extra space around the tail so you can paint over the edges.

Now for the fun part! Grab your bubble wrap, dip it in some paint, and press it onto the tail to create a cool, scaly effect. Keep going until the tail is covered in bubble wrap circles.

Once it dries, cut out the shirt and tail.

Glue the shirt and head onto the mermaid’s body.

Glue on the eyes, then draw the nose, mouth, and eyelashes with a black marker.

Attach the mermaid’s body to the hair, and use a slightly darker marker to add details to the hair and frame her face.

Finish up by gluing the mermaid’s tail to her body, and there you have it—a beautiful mermaid craft!
