Butterfly Tissue Paper Craft
Materials
- Butterfly craft template (available for download below)
- Tissue paper in various colors
- Pipe cleaner
- Scissors
- Glue
Instructions
First, download and print out the free butterfly craft template, which you can find at the bottom of this page.
Next, choose the colors that you want for your butterfly. The sky is the limit here and part of the fun is experimenting with different color combinations for your vibrant butterflies!
Cut out small pieces of tissue paper in the colors you’ve chosen for your butterfly.
Working in sections, cover part of the butterfly in glue, lightly crinkle up pieces of tissue paper, and stick them to the glue.
Continue like this until the whole butterfly is covered in tissue paper.
Now cut out your butterfly.
Finally, it’s time to make the antennae for your butterfly. Cut out two small pieces of pipe cleaner in whatever color you choose.
Curve the pieces of pipe cleaner slightly at the end and then glue the other end to the top of the butterfly’s head.
Now your beautiful butterfly is complete!
