Haunted House Paper Craft for Kids (free printable!)

As Halloween approaches, there’s no better way to get into the spooky spirit than with a fun and easy craft project. Today, I’m excited to share a delightful paper haunted house craft that’s perfect for kids of all ages.

With just a few simple materials and our free template, you can create a charmingly eerie haunted house to decorate your home.

This craft is not only super fun to make but also a fantastic way to inspire creativity and imagination as you prepare for the Halloween festivities.

Haunted House Craft

Materials

  • Haunted house craft template (available for download below)
  • Black and orange paper
  • Paper plate (or white/yellow paper)
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Instructions

First, download and print out the free haunted house craft printable template, which you can find at the bottom of this page.

Cut out the pieces of the template.

Next, trace the haunted house and bat outlines onto black paper and cut out.

Then trace the window and door templates onto orange paper and cut out. For this part you can pick a variety of different shape and mix and match the windows however looks best. It’s fun seeing what kind of haunted house different kids end up with!

Glue the door and windows onto the haunted house.

Using a black pen, draw crosses on the windows as the the window pane dividers.

Take a paper plate and cut out the circular center to be your moon. You can also use a white piece of paper for this part if you prefer.

Glue the moon to the back of the haunted house so that it peeks out over the top of the house.

Glue the bats to the moon and your adorable haunted house craft is complete!
