Instructions

For this craft, you have two options: you can make a full-page version or a 5×7 card. The steps are the same for both, so just pick whichever you like best!

First, download and print the Christmas lights craft template at the bottom of this article.

Start by using markers or colored pencils to color in the block letters on the template.

Then, dip your child’s finger in paint and have them press it onto the paper above one of the bulb bases. Keep dipping their fingers in different colors of paint and pressing them onto the page until all the light spots are filled with bright, colorful “bulbs.” Let the paint dry completely.

If you’re making the card, just cut it to size and fold it in half.
