Easter Basket Fork Painting Craft

Materials
- Easter basket craft template
- Fork
- Brown paint (optional- green and yellow)
- Markers or colored pencils
- Scissors
- Glue
Instructions
Let’s jump right into making our adorable Easter basket!
First, download and print out the Easter basket craft template, which you can find by scrolling to the bottom of this page.
Place some brown paint onto a flat surface and dip the tines of the fork into the paint. Begin pressing the fork to the basket, getting more paint as needed. Cover the handle of the basket as well.

Next, turn the fork 90 degrees and continue to press the paint onto the basket using the fork. This will create the latticed look of the basket.

Continue until the entire basket is covered.

Set your basket aside to dry.
While the basket is drying, take the time to decorate your Easter eggs and color the flower on the other page of the template.
My son loved decorating his Easter eggs with a wide array of bright colors!

When you’re done decorating, cut out the eggs and the flower.

Once your Easter basket is dry, cut out the basket.

At this point, one option is to glue the flower to the basket and arrange the Easter eggs the way you want them, gluing them in place.

OR you can create an Easter scene for your basket.
To do this, take a green piece of paper and cut it in a wavy line about a third of the way up the page widthwise. Glue that green piece to the bottom of a blue piece of paper.

If desired, use your fork painting technique to paint some grass onto the bottom of the page and a sun in a top corner of the scene.

Glue the basket to the page on top of the green “grass” and glue the flower to the basket. Arrange the Easter eggs the way that you want them and then glue them to the page as well.

And now your lovely Easter scene is complete!
This craft is simple and fun way to help kids get creative about Easter. From painting the basket to decorating the eggs, this is a perfect art project for kids to complete at home or in the classroom.
